Whether you're pushing yourself on the field, in the gym or through a demanding semester, your body is constantly adapting to stress. Training, competition and deadlines all ask something of your nervous system. Recovery isn't simply about doing less. It's about giving your body the conditions it needs to respond, adapt and recover well. Join the Flinders University Sports Club this Wellness Week for a practical workshop exploring how breathing, heat and cold exposure can support recovery, improve stress regulation and help you feel and function at your best. Breathwork practitioner and educator Kym Burls will explain the science behind these tools, when they're most useful, and the common mistakes people make when trying to use them. You'll leave with practical breathing exercises you can start using immediately, a clearer understanding of how cold and heat fit into recovery, and the opportunity to finish the session with an ice bath.
